How cancellation, partly completed work, payment errors and refunds are assessed and processed.
Last updated 12 October 2026
This policy applies to the digital services and project add-ons ordered through Pixirain. It does not cover physical returns because no physical goods are sold through this checkout. A client or a person authorised to act for that client may request cancellation or a refund from the project workspace, through the contact form, or by emailing hello@pixirain.com.
Give the order or project reference, the account email, the reason, and any relevant delivery or payment evidence. Do not send card numbers, CVVs, banking passwords or one-time codes. If you cannot access the account, we may verify that you control the registered email before discussing the transaction.
Ask to cancel as soon as possible. Where payment was captured but no professional has started work and no separately agreed third-party cost has been incurred, we will approve a refund of the full service price paid for the cancelled scope. Merely opening a project workspace or assigning a professional does not, by itself, make the entire price non-refundable.
If the payment is only pending or authorised, we first verify whether it was captured. We will not ask you to make a second payment while a transaction is being reconciled.
For a project already underway, we review the agreed scope, completed deliverables, milestone approvals, work reasonably performed, and any third-party expense expressly approved before it was incurred. We refund the price attributable to work not supplied and services not yet begun. A completed or approved milestone is normally payable, but approval does not remove your right to challenge defective, missing, misdescribed or unlawful service under applicable law.
If work is partly complete, we explain the proposed allocation and supporting records before settling it. We do not automatically treat every unreleased transfer as the refund amount; payment-provider holds and the customer’s contractual rights are separate matters. New requirements outside the purchased scope require a separate quote and your agreement before an extra charge.
We do not refund work properly delivered and accepted merely because the client later changes direction. A third-party licence, domain, advertising spend or similar cost may be deducted only if it was identified and approved in advance, was actually incurred for the project, cannot reasonably be recovered, and the deduction is lawful. We do not make an undisclosed blanket deduction for payment-gateway fees. Nothing here removes a statutory consumer remedy or a payment-method chargeback right.
If your account was debited but no order appears, send the payment reference and date; we will reconcile the gateway and project records. A failed or pending payment is not proof of an accepted paid order. If two captured payments relate to one order, or a captured amount is higher than the agreed checkout total, the excess amount is refundable after verification. If a payment is reversed by the bank or gateway automatically, we will tell you rather than start a duplicate manual refund.
We acknowledge a refund or cancellation complaint within 48 hours of receipt. We aim to give an initial decision within ten business days after receiving the information needed to assess it. A contested milestone, missing project evidence, payment-provider investigation or chargeback may take longer; if so, we will explain what remains to be checked and provide an update at least every ten business days. Where consumer e-commerce complaint rules apply, we work to resolve the complaint within one month of receipt. We give reasons for a refusal or partial refund and provide a route to escalate it.
Once a refund amount is approved, we aim to initiate it through Razorpay within five business days of that approval and send the available reference. Initiation is different from the date funds arrive. The payment provider and issuing bank control final credit; five to ten business days after initiation is an indicative period, not a guaranteed bank deadline. Some payment methods or investigations take longer. Refunds ordinarily go to the original payment method; an alternative method can be considered only where the provider permits it and the payer verifies ownership.
Use the workspace dispute tool for a milestone disagreement, or email hello@pixirain.com with the order reference and the outcome you seek. We may pause an affected payout while the dispute is reviewed where the payment arrangement allows it. We may request evidence from the client, professional and project manager. If our proposed resolution does not resolve the matter, you may use an applicable bank, card-network or consumer redressal process. Our internal review does not take those rights away.
